What do you enjoy most about the department you work in?
The donors! They are some of the most wonderful people who come here out of the kindness of their heart. I love talking to them about why they donate, their life stories, and shared interests.
What drew you to Bloodworks Northwest originally?
My mom is a donor and when I was growing up we would always get calls from “the vampires”! I arranged it so she was my first donor ever!
What member of Bloodworks Northwest would you shadow and why?
Anyone from any of the labs! I would love to see how blood donations get processed and to learn more about what goes on in the immunogenics/HLA lab!
If you could travel, where would you go?
I would love to go to Austria and Switzerland! A little lakeside fairytale village in the mountains sounds like heaven to me!
What is your favorite food?
Maple bars!
Do you have any pets?
Yes! I have a cat named Nicholas and our family dog named Murphy! They are possibly the cutest babies ever and the loves of my life!
