National Estate Planning Awareness Week is Oct 19–25

This National Estate Planning Awareness Week, you can utilize the same type of proactive planning that safeguards our blood supply to protect your loved ones in the future. Just as the community’s preparation provides doctors and patients with the security to make the best treatment decisions, preparing an up-to-date estate plan provides your family with clarity and security. 

Through our partnership with FreeWill, you can: 

• Draft your will in as little as 20 minutes, joining over 380 members of the Bloodworks community who have already taken this step.
• Protect your family by naming guardians for minor children and pets.
• Document your medical and financial wishes by setting up a Financial Power of Attorney and an Advance Healthcare Directive.
• Ensure that patients continue to have the blood they need in time by designating Bloodworks as a beneficiary in your will. 

This week is a reminder to put your wishes in writing.
